The aim of the Port Stephens Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2000 is to provide for appropriate planning and environmental control over the use and development of land within the area of Port Stephens, in order to uphold and promote the objectives of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979. Since 27th February 2009 the State Environmental Planning Policy Exempt Complying Development 2009 has replaced many of the provisions of the LEP for exempt development. The Port Stephens Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2000 comprises the instrument (the written component) and the maps obtainable below: The set of 125 maps represent the zone boundaries for Port Stephens and are a major component of the Port Stephens Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2000. These zone boundaries are shown relative to the cadastral boundaries shown on these maps. You have the option of viewing the Zoning Maps in colour or black & white. These maps should be read in conjunction with the LEP 2000 instrument. The zoning maps are in PDF format. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, Visit the Adobe website to install a copy.
