Draft Nelson Bay 2030 Strategy

Last modified: November 2, 2009 - 9:17 AM

Port Stephens Council resolved to exhibit the Draft Nelson Bay 2030 Strategy.

The Draft Nelson Bay 2030 Strategy includes ideas for:

  • a vision for Nelson Bay;
  • better pedestrian connection with links to the foreshore;
  • improvements for public areas;
  • guidelines for building height and form;
  • provisions for vehicle circulation and parking; and
  • retailing and economic development.

Community comments on the ideas contained with the draft strategy are invited.

Council resolved at its Ordinary Meeting on Tuesday 8th July to extend the exhibition period of the Draft Nelson Bay 2030 Strategy from a period of 4 weeks to 8 weeks.

As a result, the Draft Nelson Bay 2030 Strategy was on exhibition from Thursday 19th June 2008 until Thursday 14th August 2008.
