Council has established over 50 community committees who are involved in the care, assistance and management of Council's facilities, services and events.
Council uses the mechanism available in the Local Government Act 1993 where Council delegates certain activites to committees under Section 355 and 377 to manage volunteers who are involved in activities, services or events on Council land.
Council land includes:

Environmental Projects
Sporting Facilities
Sister Cities
Cemeteries
Community Bands
Community Choirs
