Birubi Point Historic Cemetery

Birubi Point Historic Cemetery

Birubi Point Historic Cemetery

Last modified: May 13, 2008 - 10:52 AM

Located on Ocean Avenue overlooking the ocean from the headland at Birubi Point, this historic cemetery offers a spectacular view and a piece of history.

The scene of many shipwrecks the graves of unknown sailors make this a historical treat.

A memorial plinth indicates the locations of those buried from the late 1800's.

As this cemetery is in the vicinity of the sea, many headstones have perished and only a few remain visible because many have been covered by sand over time.

Headstones remaining are in various states of quality due to these environmental factors.

If you would like more information about the burial records in this cemetery please contact us.
